Our Customer Reviews
I can't say enough positive things about the Clifton Performance Theater Summer Program. My daughter Sylvie participated in the program 2013-2015. My daughter, Alice, has been a part of the program for the past 3 years and it has been a truly transformative experience for her. Not only has she developed a deep love and appreciation for the performing arts, language, and musical theater, but has also gained so much confidence. The program is run by Carol Brammer, an incredibly talented and dedicated educator who creates a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment for all child participants. They encourage creativity, collaboration, and vocal expression, while also teaching skills such as public speaking, singing, stage presence, and projection. It is incredible to see how much Alice has flourished since joining the program in 2020. She used to be shy, and hesitant in front of others, but now she takes the stage and challenging parts with confidence and rigor. The program has truly helped her reach new potentials and develop new skills such as leadership. The productions themselves are always impressive. The children are given a script and assigned roles on the Monday of the week long camp. They learn the script, blocking, and performance rules over the course of the week and then perform the production that Saturday. The undertaking is a huge responsibility in a short amount of time. The program offers a variety of ways for the children to truly shine and feel proud of their accomplishments. Examples include acting, sets, costumes, and other aspects of the production. As a physician and a parent, I highly recommend the Clifton Performance Summer program to any parent looking to provide their child with a positive, enriching, artistic growth experience. For my daughter, it has not only enriched her creativity and talent, it has boosted her confidence and language skills. She has learned important life lessons, inter-personal skills that will benefit her in all future endeavors. Thank you for the amazing leadership and team behind this program and for making a lasting impact on the children in our community. Please reach out to me for any questions or if you need more detailed examples of how impactful this program is for youth in our community.

To whom it may concern:
My daughters, aged seven and nine, have attended Clifton Performance Theater, run by Carol Brammer and her team, for four years. It has been a nurturing educational experience for my children. When they started, my younger daughter was incredibly shy. The theater team worked with her, and now she enjoys being on stage and speaking up. My older daughter has found that she enjoys musical theater. Ms. Brammer has a wealth of experience from studying at the CCM and acting on stage, television, and in movies. She is highly interested in education and is working on a doctorate.
Ms. Brammer is a talented teacher and actress with innovative strategies for working with children with various issues. Every week, my husband and I attended our daughter's performances and were amazed at the creativity of the scripts and performances of the children.
She used theater as a therapeutic adventure for children to harness their natural creativity.
I cannot recommend Carol Brammer enough. Cincinnati is privileged to have the Clifton Performance Theater, and her summer camps have been a gift to children. As a neurologist, I understand the importance of plasticity in a child's mind, and a child's exposure to creativity in this camp is second to none. Even though I am moving from Cincinnati, my daughters would like to attend Ms. Brammer's camp next year, and it is a thoroughly educational experience.
